I am holding out for the repeat of the Diamond League from Eugene later this evening, so I don't want to check any of the threads here, or the IAAF website, or indeed any site as it will spoil it for me. So could somebody post the results of the 400m from Florida here? How did Gillick get on in his first race of the year? How about Jason Smyth?

I heard Tyson Gay went 9.79.

Solid run after his 10.22 a few weeks ago. He already has the B-Standard, but tantalisingly close to the A.

    Any news on Gilly?

In Rabat Paul Hession (Athenry AC) was seventh in the 200m in 20.87, while in Florida Jason Smyth (City of Derry AC) clocked 10.29 for 100m and David Gillick (Dundrum South Dublin AC) clocked 46.80 for 400m.

2nd race for hession i think
    1st for gillick
smyths had a few already but thats still a very solid time

Hession is not exactly setting the world alight with those times. He is usually much faster than that at the start of a season.

It is a long season though with the Worlds being late this year so maybe he is only getting into his groove slowly. No real point in running 20.4 now 11 weeks too early.
