My gf is over from oz and really wants to see a gaa match so I figured I would take her to the match tomorrow! Am I right in saying that there's one at 2pm then dublins at 4pm both in croker?

I was looking to know where I go to buy tickets and also u assume only the Dublin match will have the good atmosphere as it's in Dublin? How many ppl are expected?

    Thanks!

Edit- is there any hurling matches coming up at croker too I could take her too?

You will defo get a ticket! Ask a Garda to direct you to a near by ticket box. Hill 16 tickets are 15euro and the stand is 25euro.
2PM is Kildare V Meath - will be a cracking game.
    4PM is Dublin V Laois.
There should be around 50,000 people or so at the games tomorrow, atmosphere will be good.

    50,000? Thats great : )

Would the stand be the best place to go as im assuming thats at the side of the pitch? Dont really want to be behind a goal!

Would the 25euro ticket get you in to both games also?

The Cusack and Hogan stands are the ones at the side. There is a stand behind the goal too but get into either the Hogan/Cusack if you don't want to be behind the goal. I've always liked the Cusack myself.

And 25 euro will get you into both.

Apparently ticket sales have been a bit slower than expected, so they don't expect to hit 50,000 now. It is a bank holiday weekend and both matches are on TV. Still, it will be a good atmosphere, especially for the Dublin match, and while you can see the matches on TV, there is nothing like being there. I will be there, with others. Certainly should be two good games.

There's a white van on the way to croker literally five minutes from the main gates! You can't miss it. Only thing is though that they don't sell premium tickets there as far as I'm aware, the ones I always get are through my dad's business associates so I've no clue how to get my hands on one of those haha.
Even so, the matches will be great craic. Enjoy :)

    Thanks again!

One last thing, when would the next hurling match in croke park be and would it have a big crowd?

Not until the Leinster final on July 3rd.

There's nothing on in Parnell Park at all over the coming weeks. Wexford are playing Kilkenny on Saturday 11th in Wexford and Dublin are playing Galway on Saturday 18th in Tullamore. Both games are Leinster semi finals. All the fixtures are here.

Around Dublin, the highest level you'll see are 2 rounds of club intermediate championship this coming Wednesday and Saturday. You'll find details here.

Just on tickets for today's games, there'll be a ticket van at the junction of Ballybough Road and Clonliffe Road and the ticket offices on the corner of Lower Dorset Street and Belvedere Road and on the North Circular Road will both be open.

Tickets for the Lower Cusack or Hogan Stands would be your best bet. Normally I'd recommend the Hogan because the sun can be in your eyes in the Cusack but it doesn't look like there's much worry of that today!:pac:

BTW the Wexford game is a double header with Wexford playing Westmeath in football earlier in the day. Just an fyi in case you wanted your girlfriend to experience both hurling and football
