[Boards.ie PS3 Games Nights - June 2011 Edition]

So the PSN is now back to normal pretty much, so it's time for a new Boardsie Games Night to get going! Now comes with a chance to win a prize! :O

As usual, you can have your say about what games you'd like to play and give your thoughts and ideas about the nights in general >here<.

Sunday: MAG

Monday: Red Dead/Warhawk

Wednesday: MAG

Friday: Co-op/New Releases (e.g. Portal 2, Dead Nation, Burnout Paradise).

Saturday: Killzone 3

I'd like to get the high score challenge going this month as well, with a small prize for the winner. The game will be Shatter and the prize is the pre-order DLC for LA Noire (soundtrack and the 'Slip of the Tongue' case). Whomever gets the highest score playing through the Standard game mode by the end of the month will be the winner.

I am aware that most of the games are shooters, we can always add some racing games etc on Tuesday and Thursday, or shuffle things around a bit. It's hard to fit all the games in and keep everyone happy.

Won't be around tomorrow night but will be there for the other nights. Great idea with the Shatter high score challenge too.

For co-op night I'll be on Uncharted 2 or Resistance 2 for anyone else that's up for it.

Warhawk will be good fun, myself and goth had a quick game just to see how easy it was to setup last night.
We were dogfighting for about 20 minutes until i flew into a bridge.
That was it really no kills apart from that

Yeah I joined in later but I think you'd stopped by that stage. Warhawk is just a huge amount of fun.

Might be around for some Killzone 3 at the weekend. I'm TERRIBLE at it though

Well i had a clan match running at the start with the "only clan members" checkbox ticked, thought that would keep it amongst boardies.
It didnt and had about 30 people playing so left it running.

Pretty sure you just have to set your clantag to BIE in the menu and you're good to go.

Warhawk was a lot of fun (such as the time I surprised a guy with a rocket to the face), it would be great if a few more Boardsies got on. I'm a newb at Warhawk but somehow I managed to be the number one player for a round, go me! ^^

I checked before I started playing but didn't check when I logged out. I'll do that later.

Yeah if we could get maybe eight of us we would have a good little session going. The good thing about setting a server up like that is that you aren't limiting the people who can play by ability. Most of the standard servers on there have ability ceilings and as I've been playing for three years I always have to play against good players (I'm not very good, despite playing a fair bit). Last night I even shot a few people down whilst in a Warhawk which is very rare for me.

That would actually help a lot - I don't want to be sending invites to people who have the game but have zero interest. Apparently there already is a clan under the name 'Boards.ie' so I wonder who the leader of that was?

I believe that was someone on my friends list that are on boards.ie, cant for the life of me remember.

And yes, I revived you as soon as I could so that nullified the XP loss for scoping your head Dunno how many XP points I got but I leveled up 3 levels :cool:

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on much - going through some shíte at the moment. Maybe someone else would like to take over for me in organising these? - although I will have the time to make a new thread for July/August this weekend if no-one wants to volunteer. Actually organising the thread isn't that much work really, so I can still do that - it's the setting up of games and making sure that I'm online that I can't guarantee.

According to my Shatter high score list, of the Boardsies who have been in on the Games Nights, NotorietyH has the highest score, followed by tonydude and then Fingers. I only have one set of codes for L.A. Noire so you guys get first refusal (in order of your scores obviously).

I'll have a look around and see if I have any other codes that I could give away here, or I may come across some.

Oh cool lol, didn't realise I was top on Shatter. Have all LA Noire DLC so someone else can have my code. Nice one though! I'm busy enough myself at mo and still having Internet woes from time to time so not sure if I'd be able to organise the games etc. Should have a bit more free time once August hits.

Well I have one code for the 'Slip of the Tongue' DLC and one for the game soundtrack, so unless any of you want the soundtrack then i guess I'll just give the codes to any regular, hehe.

Other games I can think of are Resistance 3, PayDay: The Heist (looks quite interesting)... then we're into BF3, UC3, MW3 territory


Also, I recently got Portal 2 (yeah yeah I'm way behind the times at the moment) so if anyone has that and wants to do some co-op let me know. My housemates aren't really into games

Nothing really. Its just that many of the games you play, I either don't have, or I'm not really interested in playing. I WANT MY WARHAWK NIGHT, DAMMIT!

And seeing as BF3 will be getting a server browser on consoles, I might just get that.

I think when BF3 comes out I'll turn into a recluse. Only leaving the house to go to work. Don't even need to leave to get supplies... I can get groceries delivered
