It now emerges that the ecoli didn't originate in Spain at all, this is backed up by the fact that only on person in spain has caught it so far. There really is no doubt that it originated in Germany, probably in some lab and Germany, trying to cover itself, perpetrated an act of economic sabotage on Spain.

An act of economic sabotage? nah the Germans reacted too quickly as they needed a villian and no doubt it seemed plausible. That said the Spanish should sue the ass off the city of Hamburg as it was their officials who pointed the finger.

It's had the knock on affect right around Europe with sales of cucumber ,tomatoes and salads right down and you cant blame people being scared ,even if their own local produce is ok .

Yes, it was outrageous to blame the spanish without proof. Spain is one of the pigs too aren't they... ripe for sacrifice on the alter of german economic rule.

There would be plenty of batches of fruit and veg from Spain that would never reach the domestic market.

I'm not saying it was Spansh produce - just that the observation no Spanish people got it isn't relevant.

What's the point? The Germans can do what they want. They practically own the EU and all its institutions.

It amounts to sabotage, an act of economic war. I think Germany is reverting back to its old bullyboy ways.. Only this time it is not panzers they are using it is economic blitzkrieg. Germany and their sidekick France, masters of the EU.

They may so far look like their theory on the source of the outbreak was wrong, but the German authorities acted to protect their citizens. Good job. You couldn't have countries like Libya or Somalia suing for damage to their tourist industry 'cos governments warned against travel there. A state's primary responsibility is to its own citizens, not another country's agricultural sector.

So the Germans kill 16 of their own people and fabricate a conspiracy against Spain so that they can get another country into economical trouble. And then bail them out with their own money like they have with us? Makes sense.

Economic sabotage? I don't think so somehow. How about a country simply being afraid it's citizens were in danger of becoming seriously and taking whatever precautions it though necessary to protect them?

Some compensation is probably in order but I think to suggest the Germans went out of their way to cripple Spain's economy is over the top.

The EU went from being a sugardaddy and handing out money to being a pimp and getting its bitches indebted . Germany is the "heart of europe/EU" and it always has been, its the pimp, France is its homie and the rest of europe is its bitches.

The market in Hamburg where it all began has had some health safety/food poisoning issues in the past.

Is it payback because Spain got some German spiked fruit last year?
