They're grand! I dont pay much attention to them, dont take anything off them, dont give them any money. Although one time one of them chased myself and a friend around the toilets because she thought we stole her money. We didnt.

I've noticed earlier in the night, nobody tips them. But as the night wears on, the tipping gets more generous and sometimes Anto and Deco are engaged in long conversations with the beggar and back slapping is the order of the day.

Are we talking about actual beggars or the toilet lady with all the stuff? Toilet lady with all the stuff is great if get stuck for anything, beggars in the toilet is weird and never saw that.

I've never seen this either!!! definitely agree the toilet lady has been a god send to me! I met one recently and she had a GHD on hand I'd say she made a killing as it was windy as hell outside. I say fair play to her anyway. but agrees also very strange if random people are begging in the toilets!

I'm not talking about beggars in the original post. I am talking about gentlemen from Africa who "charge" money to hand you paper to wipe your hands after you wash them. It's a disgrace. Pubs should not be allowing them to blackmail their customers

The woman in the niteclub I go to travels from Galway to Westport to provide her services in the loo. They must be making decent money. I am always polite but what bugs me is how cunning she is.

As soon as your hands go under tap she has the toilet roll or kitchen towel ready for you, if you chose to use the hand dryer you have to move her off her high stool as she sits in front of them. And the one she isn't sitting in front off is switched off!

It's tacky as hell and I don't like it; it used to be all the rage in Dublin years ago to have someone in there but it's just all sorts of wrong. I don't have a problem with the people doing the job but I also don't feel comfortable with somebody in the bathroom offering me hand towels for money. It's just not pleasant in any way.
