South Korea August

    planning to travel to south Korea in August, anyone is planning the same? can arrange to fly out together?

    Do it solo. I've been to Japan and it's the safest country imaginable. I can't imagine South Korea being much different.

    I'm actually going to Korea in late august myself, but am flying from Melbourne, and am going for the World Athletics Championships which are on in Daegu.

    Plenty of companions in hostels. Lots of solo travellers there. Seriously, if you have the balls to consider travelling with somebody on the internet who you have never met before, then I'm sure you can strike up a conversation with fellow solo backpackers in hostels in Korea and tag along with such people.

    Stick your name down here. A good way of getting an idea of who is heading so we can get a crowd to meet up, and hopefully celebrate some strong Irish performances.

    Did you get tickets to the morning sessions by the way? All the cheaper tickets are sold out it seems, which is bizarre considering theres plenty left for the evening sessions! So far I only have tickets for all 8 evening sessions.

    hehe, there is the thing, I am not a backpacker. well, its wired enough, just feel someone would travel with me from dublin is "safer".
