Im being quoted 945 (ex USA & Canada!) by VHI for the year.....however others like ACE are around half that at the most.

Does anybody know why its so much more expensive and is it worth it?

    2 things is
    1
if you all ready on VHI and then did not pay for your policy for the year that you on while you away you will lose out on some stuff so for VHI members to start with you can just ingnore what every you pay (around 200 i think is what im on)

    2
They have very good cover if something dose happen to you, u will get the best care there is etc also they pay out for everything just about with little or no qustions and also will cover your kit you are bring with you for no extra cost.

hope that helps, i got it by the way when i want away for my trip and id go with it again need it a few times, ended up in a ER and also in a few docs places and all was coverd etc tho for me it was only like 650 cos for what i was going to pay VHI anyhow for that year!!

ya i think its better to be well covered, do tho give them a call if/even before you get the cover and ask then to talk you thgouh everything you need to know, as there where some small things i did not know at the start one been there is a form that you need to get the doc to give his name to if you can and stuff like this!
