There have been reports of an explosion in the Brandywell area of Londonderry.
A local representative said local people reported hearing a loud bang just after 2230 BST on Thursday.

Can someone enlighten me about ths s**t?
Is there a prize for being the first to anounce something that just happened?
Seems like there is a whole army of people with trigger fingers just waiting to post threads based on rumours, gossip, inuendo, and heresay.
Facebook and Twitter are not news sources!
    It is truly annoying.

Details were not based on "rumours, gossip, inuendo, and heresy".

Source was not Facebook or Twitter, it was the BBC ( which I stated in the post )

If we stop forcing people to read the messages it might be a starting point.
