Just thought I'd get this in as there might be a few threads like this for the holiday weekend. A prep, if you like, for the Wicklow 200, nothing savage a week before the big day.

Meet at Joe Daly's for 9.30 sharp. Down to Laragh via Enniskerry, Long Hill, over the Wicklow Gap and around the lakes and whatever way home for you. The idea is to head on through Laragh, without stopping, and on over the Gap. We can re-group at the top if needs be and head for Lacken and that shop for a well earned can of coke!:)

Pace will be reasonably above average.

    Rough estimation?

    Rough estimation?

High 20's Mark. I've been doing that sort of distance/speed on my own so with a few of us it should be doable. We can re-group at the top of Old Long Hill. The main idea is to get through Laragh and hit Wicklow Gap without stopping(Hippy cafe is far too handy IMO).;)

    HowayA,

I might be able to go. Would the pace be faster than the last time with ya as that was fairly quick. Just Hav to check family commitments but hopefully should be cool. What distance do you think that would be all in

    Cheers

    Hi getonyourbike,

Looks like no takers apart from yourself. I'll do a solo run if no one shows up at Joe Daly's. Your welcome to join me at Enniskerry, though I won't be hangin' about.:)

The route suggested plus a journey back over the Sally Gap and down to Ballinastoe for you would be 87km. That doesn't include your journey to Enniskerry or your trip back home from Ballinastoe.

Ah'm oot I'm afraid Velo, very important barbecue to attend don't you know. I wouldn't be surprised if a few people turn up anyway at Joe Daly's, just because you don't see any replies here doesn't mean you won't have a few takers!

No bother and I wouldn't be frustrated hanging around-I'm no great shakes on a bike!
