I bought a chipping net in argos for €7.99 or somewhat like that................just practice my chipping from 5,10,15,20,25ft into the net, that gives me practice on landing the ball where I want it to land, only prob is, because I don't have a green, I tend have no practice with roll on the greens.

Is there enough room to hit a full lob wedge/sand wedge? If so then you could practice getting close to a pin........................I also like getting out the back and just swinging my driver to get the feel of it.

Anything from 4 or 5 yards of space is plenty for good quality practice. Scoring well is all about the short game, after all. The problem with driving ranges is that a lot of people practice as if long distance hitting is the key to improvement, which it ain't.

Use anything as a target, and preferably move it around regularly.

Some tips that I've come across and find useful.
    1) always use a guide club pointing absolutely exactly at the target.
    2) Ball in dead centre or stance.
    3) Open up left foot anything up to 45 degrees depending on the shot / feel.
    4) Only hold the club as firmly as you would hold a dove (yes, the kind with feathers). It's the muscles through your wrists, hands and fingers that will fail you over a round of golf.

Not many of us here would be driving many greens, so the approach shots are critical. Also putting success rate inside a certain distance (can't remember the figures) converges for amateurs and professionals. What does this mean? It means that a short game that gets you closer to the hole will turn into lower scores, even more than improved driving distance, or even long putting.

Almost gold balls have a good rep. G0 1/3 the distance with proper ball flight. Could probably let rip wit the driver in the space you have ;)

I say there is a field out back so not bad but the grass bit high so might find it hard to get balls back:D...

Friend of mine has about 100 yards at the side of his house so cut in a small green about 25ft*25ft approx and practices hitting small pw's and full sw and lw into it, says it really has improved his 100 yards in game.

I have the same at home - i have a 15ft circle cut in the corner of my lawn with a bamboo stick in it as a target. From across my garden its 30 yards and 70 along the length of it. i keep the grass nice and short so its nearly like hitting off a fairway. i must say it has helped my short game a lot.

    Only downside it taking divots!!
