Oh no, it isn't that time of the year when idiots celebrate mediocrity and sub-mediocrity again is it?

    *hibernates*

You've got to laugh at how Black Swan, The Social Network and Inception get lumped in with Twilight and Harry Potter as the best movies of the year. The mind boggles.

Y'see, I don't mind some of those categories, some of them are fun. But then they have serious categories like Best Male Performance, with nominees such as "R-Patz" and Lautner. Playing it straight like that is just cringe inducing.

EH, is there anyone actually worth watching on this?

What an atrocious selection of films, how in Gods name they can include Justin Bieber in best jaw dropping performance yet ignore what has to be one of the most jaw dropping moments in recent cinema.

    Not for the squemish

Saw the headline 'The Twilight Saga sweeps MTV Movie Awards' ...think that pretty much sums up the IQ level of MTV's audience.

O dear god....James Franco cutting is arm off is less jaw dropping then some 12 year old with a bad hair cut who can't sing or dance? Guess I'm just really out of touch with the young folk!

The MTV awards are usually rubbish but some of the comedy skits they do for the ceremony have been pretty funny in the past.

I still dont get it. Personally I want to ride Jessica Alba, but I'm not gonna vote her in as best actor.

It does sort of explain how Natalie Portman won best actress at the Oscars.

Sure, she gave a damn good performance, but that's not why she got it.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse dominated the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.

Hosted by Jason Sudeikis, the awards show started off with a spoof of The Hangover Part II in which Sudeikis attempted to track down Taylor Lautner after losing him during a supposed night of debauchery.
A highlight of the night was presenter Jim Carrey's outfit. The Mr. Popper's Penguins actor donned a green screen suit onto which he projected footage of two dogs engaged in intercourse.
In the shock of the night, Robert Pattinson kissed Lautner after receiving the prize for 'Best Kiss'. Both Pattinson and Lautner were nominated for the accolade for a lip lock with their co-star Kristen Stewart.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse took home the prizes for 'Best Kiss', 'Best Fight', 'Best Male Performance', 'Best Female Performance' and 'Best Movie'. Other notable winners included 7-year-old Alexys Nycole Sanchez for 'Best Line From A Movie' and Emma Stone for 'Best Comedic Performance'.
Reese Witherspoon accepted the 'Generation Award' from three presenters: Pattinson, Patrick Dempsey and Chelsea Handler. In her speech, the Walk the Line actress spoke especially to girls of the world, telling them that they do not have to be "bad" in order to succeed.
The evening closed with Lautner's acceptance of the 'Best Movie' award on behalf of the cast and crew of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The 19-year-old expressed his gratitude to the fans, stating that the accolade was the result of their devotion to the movies.

Emma Stone won for Easy A :)

Stewart and Pattinson loathe the movies and find the fandom absurd and laughable, they take the piss outta fans on the QT...lots of blogs about it.
