On Saturday the winds will turn northeasterly in direction and this will bring a drop in temperatures, with typical afternoon values of 16 to 20 degrees, highest over Munster. The day will be bright and sunny, but on Saturday evening some showers will develop along the Leinster and north-Ulster coastline. These showers will again occur on Sunday near eastern and northern coastal counties although most parts of the country will be dry and bright during the day. But temperatures drop again for Sunday to between 12 and 16 degrees, highest in the south. Its cooler again on Bank Holiday Monday by about a couple of degrees, although the weather is mostly dry. The weather continues to get cooler next week as northerly winds set in. Day-time temperatures mid-week will be well below normal and the nights cold with frost.

The forecast said it will arrive at 3.09 p.m

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,528 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

    The newspapers promised you one.

That cloud should break away a bit during the afternoon to give you some warm sunny spells. It might break away quicker tomorrow. After tomorrow it won't be as warm.

It's quite nice here in Galway and I'm right by the sea which is usually nothing but dreary rain and wind.

I have to keep walking into the comms room with it's air conditioners to cool me down :pac:

Nice and hot in Galway, I hoping I can finally get to use the disposable BBQ I bought 2 years ago. The day after I bought it it started raining and the weathers never been good enough to use it since.

So this is the summer and all we get is one fcuking day , maybe two of a heatwave. A heatwave when I was small lasted all summer.

I wasnt expecting this. Yesterday wearing a scarf and layers. Today dressed as usual, layers and scarfs and now im melting. Did take off some layers.

May was like winter. Cold. Wet. Windy. Annoying how the weather can go from winter to summer in one day.

I have an idea. In australia, it doesnt rain often and when it does workers are let off home. How about ireland does the same. On the rare occassion thst the sun comes out workers should be all let off. Stuck in work and I want to do is go outside to get burnt. Get a dose of vit.d and some cancer

The Ozzies also get the day off if it's too hot! Well, builders and the like do anyway.

    Yeah, with interest.

We get 2 weeks of heatwave, and have to pay back 50 weeks of miserable weather.

OP - talk about losing the run of yourself. One day of good weather so far, give us another 4/5 days of this and maybe then we can call it a heatwave.
But M.T. Cranuim has called it right, yet again.
