thanks, thats what i was thinking.

Anyone know what the IFE is like and if there is access for charging ipad/laptop?

Did it last year and think it an A330.

Lovely flight but I've never been on a flight with so many screaming children. Try and be seated as far away from the basinettes as you can.

Mark as we said earlier more than likely the A330-200 or the 300.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, I was looking for information on the flights from Dublin to Tokyo (connect in Abu Dhabi). Glad to see from that info I'll be in a Pearl Flat Bed and not a Pearl Seat!

    Thanks for the info. :)

I don't suppose anyone knows what Etihad use for the connecting flights from Abu Dhabi to Tokyo? The same type of aircraft? Do Etihad have the A380 in their fleet? I was lucky enough to experience the A380 on a connection from Paris to Dubai last year. It's truly an incredible aircraft!

No, etihad do not have a380's yet, will be getting them in a year or two I think.

Looking at their fleet, your connection to Tokyo is probably on a 777-300ER or an A340-500/600, it should be easy enough to find on their website if you look for pricing on the route

Thanks a lot for that. I wasn't sure if they were using A380s yet, guess not! I'm booked in already but never noticed any plane types on my tickets or anywhere else. Mainly I was banking on the flights at least having pearl flat beds rather than pearl seats in business. According to Etihads web site the seats are only on smaller aircraft...

Its there alright, just looked it up(Click on the flight no.). Looks like they use an A330-200 from Abu Dhabi to Tokyo, so the same type of aircraft as used on the Dublin to Abu Dhabi leg. Surprising actually, thought they'd be using a bigger aircraft to Tokyo. People have said here before that the Etihad A330 is a nice aircraft to fly on anyway.

Hope your not a United fan by the way, they've been known to use this aircraft on the Dublin to Abu Dhabi flight! :)

Here you go, full flats on the Tokyo route. Make seatguru a bookmark. Its a very handy website if you fly a lot (like me).

Thanks a million for that. Glad to know it's the lie flat beds and not the seats for (almost) definite now. Thank you! :)
