Both are expensive I know but I think my next laptop is between these two.
So..... what do you guys think. For me I think Sony are the ones that are over priced even though they look great and have the most awesome screens out there.

Looking at the Alienware M14x at the mo, nothing Sony has to offer can compete with it.
Actually nothing out there in that size can compete with it.

What are your requirements? Alienware are generally way over priced.

    8GB Ram
    Core i7 CPU
    HD screen
    14" ish screen
    USB 3.0
    2 GB Graphics Card
    Blu-ray Drive
    Web-cam

    Em think thats it..

So anything out there that will do that?

Although generally overpriced the alienware M14x at starting prices of 1200 is actually kinda reasonable. Looking at the specs:

    Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 2630QM (2.0Ghz, 6MB, 4C)
    1.5GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT555M
    4096MB (2x2GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Dual Channel
    500GB (7,200rpm) SATA Hard Drive
    Internal High-Definition 5.1 Surround Sound

Probably one of their only decent priced products.

I have never been a huge fan of Sony, Alienware make decent laptops and look nice too. Fork out for an additional mouse and keyboard if your going to use the laptop on a desk for working, its much easier on the hands.

ASUS and MSI are also too brands which I am a big fan of so well worth checking them out too. When comparing laptops always go for functionality over style and check mountains of reviews on not only the laptop as a whole but the individual laptop components to make sure the fit is right for you.
