Teaching abroad but not UAE

Does anyone know of other places that offer jobs in a similar way to the UAE? It seems like a good set-up, i.e. having a specific job to go to, but the other half isn't mad about the destination. Tried to look into the likes of Australia but it seems to be a case of going over there and hoping for the best.

Thanks for the reply. I'm a qualified Primary Teacher so would prefer general teaching as opposed to just teaching English.

    Vietnam - http://newhanoian.xemzi.com/job/show/5109
    Japan - http://www.axcis.co.uk/jobs/Lower-Primary-Elementary-teacher-Japan-/25229

You can find the jobs but not a UAE / Dubai etc. type setup if it's a place people want to go.. That setup is there as the incentive for people to make the move. If you want to live somewhere you really like and teach Primary, then it will be more difficult. If you just teach English, it's easier.

Check out the British Council.. It'd be a good place to start looking.

    Hong Kong.
    China.
International Schools all over Europe and Africa.

TES.co.uk - check out the forums, one is dedicated to working abroad.
    TIE website.
    ISS website.
    International Schools Review website.

There are loads of great packages (and loads of rubbish ones too, so be careful) available outside the UAE.
