    http://autos.aol.com/article/women-voice-command-systems/

Can't say this is such an emerging issue in this country because of our Irish Market low spec cars, but perhaps things are changing with Hyundai and others adding a lot more toys to attract buyers.

Anyone have experience with voice command systems, are they any good and how do they manage Irish accents.

And in defence of the cars, I find it hard to listen to wimmins as well half the time.. :D

When you say Irish, do you mean normal people, or this guy :

True, I guess Irish Accent is a pretty broad term.
These days in my experience, unintelligible irish accents are the exception rather than the norm, though the D4'isation thats occurring is not necessarily a positive thing.

I love it! Even a system that is designed to listen out for commands just spaces out and says to itself "what is she yabbering on about now, would she ever get to the point". Shur what hope do we have!!
