I didn't know where to put this thread so I just put it here, sorry. I have my history summer exam tomorrow and I'm just wondering what and how many people in history should I study.

    This year, I have studied...

    - The Age of Exploration
    - The Reformation
    - The Plantations
    - Revolutions (I'm studying the American Revolution)
    - The Industrial Revolution
    - The Irish Famine (1845-1850)

What people should I study for each of these chapters?
    Thanks.

    - Christopher Columbus.
    - Martin Lither.
    - A person given land.
    - George Washington.
    - A factory owner/worker.
    - Don't know about the last one, I don't think it comes up much.

For the last one, a farm labourer who survived the famine. Talk about family members dying because of hunger aand blight, the road building schemes, friends that emigrated, your time in a workhouse etc.

IIRC the last one is on the Cold War, since it hasn't come up in a while, but there isn't much on it in my book.
You should really check out the Exam Predictions thread, there are plenty of suggestions there.
But yeah, Desire has most of them covered ^_^

He's only in second year, so he wouldn't have done the Cold War yet.

If only I had them covered myself. I really hope Martin Luther comes up, and and a person from Ancient Ireland. :(

Archaeologist, planter, revolutionary leader and lord/lady medeival castle have come up last year. By the looks of it we are steering towards two of these:

Factory owner/Factory worker during industrial revolution
Renaissance painter (from italy or outside)
    Someone during the reformation
    Monk
Someone from ancient Ireland (or outside of Ireland)
    Explorer on an exploration

As you can see, I refuse to mention any people based on 3rd year chapters
It looks to me like two of these will definitely come up since there is 8 there. Thankfully I know about 5 of them. I'll probably learn another 1 or 2.

On the other chance, it's unlikely, but something from last year could come up again this year. If two people I know come up, it's an easy A from there, pretty much.
