Audi A1

    Going to start my research now...
    I would like to buy an Audi A1 end/Dec January. I currently drive a 10 Fiat 500.

    Is the A1 a good car? Any negatives? Would be looking for a trade in.

    have you got an extra 5k to spec it properly? If not look elsewhere.
    smaller in the back than a 500.
    nearly bought one but couldn't bring myself to pay through the nose for extras that come as standard on other cars and are more necessities than extras.
    I'd say you'd be better off with a nearly new MINI and I don't even particularly like the MINI.

    I'd prefer have a well specced top of the range Polo, Ibiza or Fabia Vrs for the same price add to that a Fiat T-jet or multiair

    i presume they are very very expencive if you want to have atleast mid level of bog paddy spec.

    arent there better super minis for better price?

    Myself and my wife saw one parked beside us today and both of us burst out laughing at it.
    The proportions are so wrong.
    Looks like an A3 that shrank in the wash.
    One of the worst looking cars so far this year i think.
    A badge snobs wet dream.

    Alfa Mito???

    No where near worth changing a fiat 500 for IMO.

    The a1 is just a rebodied VW polo/Seat Ibiza/Skoda Fabia.

    Long story short, have the Mito and while it cost more than its first cousins (punto, corsa) it has good spec/price compared to the a1, and imo better looks than its cousins, fabia, ibiza, polo etc.

    OP, As a matter of interest, what do you not like with the 500?
