Strange problem with HTC Desire

So I took the SIM card out of my phone today for a few hours and when I put it back in I have two problems.

    1. The time won't autoupdate off the network - I figure this is because I am currently roaming?!?!?!

    2. It has stopped saving my sent messages so I can no longer see them in the sms thread.

    I didn't change any settings.
I can't find a setting to make it save my sent messages either

    anyone any ideas ?

Happens on a few of the gingerbread custom roms but would be unusual to happen on the stock rom.

Not sure why its happening if its stock.

On the custom GB roms, deactivate autoupdate time, save it (back key) then reactivate it then save again.

That was a HTC server problem though and the time kept going 11 mins fast but the above.was.the temp solution.

The disappearing sent messages I have no.clue about. Happens on GB roms when the phone was turned off for a while. Maybe its now spread somehow!
