Hi Folks, looking for a bit of advice on whet some may call an ''odd ball Bora'' lol, Looking at it tommorrow down in Waterford
2000 reg VW Bora 2.0 petrol (its odd but its what i'm looking for)
139k miles, good spec, owner says its originally an import but no issues with rust, has test until 03/12 and taxed until 11/11 and service history.
I know that they were more than likely not sold new in Ireland but are they similar to the Passat engine or differnent?? Anything in particular i should look out for other than the usual wear and tear ??
Also he says he will let it go for €1400 cash, dear or ok ?? Don't know how to throw up a link but its on donedeal

    Many thanks for the advice

Would I be right in saying this would be only 115hp
Ie the same as a 1.6 Avensis?

Doesnt seem cheap enough given the €650 it'll take to tax it.

Too dear for what you're getting. 139k miles? Max a grand.

It has 5 months tax on it and i will more than likely move it on again in 6 months so tax wont be an issue tbh

Best of luck with that. An 11 year old 2.0 petrol VW Bora with 115bhp belongs in this thread.

Not a great engine, one of worst vw IMO, hence the price, very hard on petrol, is it a jap import. If possible for budget to go that extra bit for a diesel bora far better engine.
