Have to get to Bray tomorrow. Dart is not an option so that leaves buses.
Im getting a bus from Santry into town!?
THen there seems to be only the 45 from Merrion Square or the 145 from Heuston

Any other options? Are there private coaches that make that trip?

84 as well goes through bray.

for bus eireann there's the 133 wicklow bus that sometimes goes through bray.

question though the 145 is very frequent i.e. every 10 minutes is there a reason you wouldn't use it?

What part of Santry are you coming from? If on the 16 or 16a route, take either of these to D'Oler Street (Stop CK), walk back two stops to Stop CH and take a 145 from there.

If you have the facility to use RTPI on your mobile the 145 stops at Stop Number 334 so you can track buses approaching.

You sound disappointed? The 145 is every 10 minutes - how much better do you want it?

Take the 16/16a from Santry to D'Olier Street, walk back along the street to the stop outside Centra and catch the 145 from there.

The Bus Eireann service 133 does NOT carry local traffic between Dublin and Bray.

Would it not be better going to the airport and getting an aircoach from there? Saves all the messing around town.

I would hardly call walking back two bus stops along D'Olier Street to a bus that operates every 10 minutes along a QBC that difficult.

He lives in Santry, beside the airport. Why does he have to go anywhere near town? Would be a lot quicker (more expensive I know) using Aircoach.

Bus Eireann 133 goes from the Airport through Bray too.

Surely by the time you would wait for a 16a or 41 to travel from Santry to Dublin Airport, then change to the 30/60 minute frequency of the Bray Aircoach, you would be well on your way to the city centre to catch a frequent 145 to Bray which is pretty much direct.

also where you want to end up in Bray makes a minor difference... If it's Main street, 145 and 45 are basically the same (well 145 is much more frequent, faster and doesn't require you to walk up to Merrion Sq.) but if you want to get up to the Boghall Road, you'd get the 45...
84 sucks now that it only goes as far as UCD.

Can you get a 133 from the airport to Bray? Think Bray would be a pickup stop only otbound. KD345, I see your point, I was just giving the guy another option.

also the air coach is what 12 euro? And a transfer 90 bus ticket is about 2...

The 145 leaves you 60 seconds from the boghall also. The Killarney Rd end though..

Nope. The missus got one home from the airport the other day no problem. She did get off at the Ballywaltrim stop just outside of the town centre, if that makes a difference. It's a lot more convenient for us living where we do in Bray as it's a 10 minute walk from that stop to our house as opposed to 30 minutes from where the Aircoach stops.

sorry, you're right, I was a bit vague there.
The point stands... The 145 and 45 go to different parts of Bray after the main street.

Thats handy so, I always thought Bray would be a pickup stop only outbound unless Bally W is different. Where was she dropped off, at the Killarney Rd near the grave yard?

Just checked Bus Eireann site there. Outbound from Dublin Airport Bray is a pickup stop only, after that its normal so you can be dropped off at Bally W . Inbound to Dublin Airport Bally W would be last pickup stop.

It was the first time she's taken it, and I'd imagined she'd only be able to get off at the cemetry, seeing as there's a a BE pole at that stop, but she says she was let off at the stop outside St. Fergal's church on Killarney Rd. just past the corner of Boghall Road which I thought was just a DB stop, but there you go.
