Are there any free bereavement counselling services available in Dublin?

My friend recently lost both parents in a short space of time, one suddenly and one to cancer. Following the first death she went for counselling and this really seemed to help her. However while I know she would be open to going to speak to someone again, she literally can't afford it. She's had to take a pay cut in her job and is struggling as it is to meet the monthly bills.

Does anyone know of any free bereavement counselling services?

NCS- It is a service for anyone who has experienced any type of abuse before the age of 18. You may have been affected by more than one type of abuse.

    Dont think it covers berevement

St Anns Church on Dawson Street hosts a bereavement counselling service every week. It isn't free but it is donation based, you give what you can afford (and as far as I know you do it in private so if you can only afford a very little you won't be embarrassed)

Hi, I lost my best friend through suicide 2 years ago the day before my final law exams. It knocked me for six... I couldn't cope and constantly blamed myself.... 'what if I had to off answered his call?' what if...?

I went to a lady who is a Bereavement Counsellor. I was a student and she didn't charge me. she was in terenure at the time... she is a reiki practitioner also and I had a reiki session which helped. Think her company is reiki center or the reiki centre.

It was the release I needed.
