Solution for longsightedness?

I need glasses for reading but have good sight otherwise. This is getting to be a nuisance on the bike as it gets worse with age etc - difficulty seeing computer; trouble using the phone if I need to, etc etc.
I don't want to go the the expense of getting prescription cycling-glasses etc and am wondering if anyone had found a cheap and easy solution.
For example, if I could get a very small lens that I could glue to the bottom of standard cycling glasses I think this might do - a sort of cheap bi-focal. Quality wouldn't matter as they would be actually be used very seldom.
    Any ideas?

I'm using disposable contact lenses at the moment. They're very cheap from here if you know your prescription. 12 euro for 30 pairs delivered. Works out at 40c a pair.

You could get single contact lens for one eye which will give you near distance correction to see the computer, phone etc. The other unaided eye will do for distance. Can take a bit of getting used to but doable. Speak with your optician.

Hmm...I read an article about disposable contact lenses and found that it's commonly used by athletes or sport savvy. Did you consult with your optometrist first before using it? Here is the disposable contact lenses article.

I would generally only wear them on the cycle then dump them when I get off. They're perfect for that IMO. I used to wear lenses all the time but the shape of my eye makes it difficult to read (a large part of my job) so those cheapo disposables work out grand for the cycle. I'm half considering getting prescription glasses for the cycle though.
