It's my Debs in August but I want to start making my appointments now!

For a tan, which is better a spray or a rub on? And when should I get it? And can I shower with either?!

Does anyone know of a good makeup artist in the Galway, Athlone area who does house calls?

I had my debs last September so this is bringing back memories haha

I got a spray tan done for mine and I was delighted with it. The main thing about the tan is to get a trial one done a few weeks beforehand so you know if that particular place is a disaster and you have time to look at other options. I'm on the east coast so I can't really advise on places in Galway but I'm sure another girl on here will.

I got it done 2 days before the debs, so there would be one whole day and the day after, the debs being that evening. When I get a spray tan I always book an evening appointment and make sure to exfoliate before going. Shave before you get the tan as well never after because I did this once and it was pretty bad :P

I then just go to bed without having a shower or using any products at all and shower in the morning. When you get it done it looks like there is a lot of excess and this is what washes off.

Make sure you go to a place with a real person spraying you, none of those machines where you just stand in. You can wear a bikini or whatever so it's fine. Get a tan that goes on coloured as well because it's better as the person gets more even coverage. My friend got a clear one once and woke up bright orange and patchy the next day. That was done by a machine and right in time for graduation, she spent the day in the bath scrubbing :P

Good luck the debs is great!
