    Hi Ian.

Got your message and sorry for the delay.

The LG 42LD490 would be the way to go.

It has netcast internet access and streaming ability from a PC, 42" screen, 1080p, 3 x HDMI, Soarview tuner (although not certified), USB input for media playback from USB and lots more.

This including delivery would come in on budget for 500 Euro.

You can also take out a 5 year at home cover for 47 Euro.

Let me know what you think.

    ATB

    Hi Dave,

thanks for the quote and phone call,

here is a link to a single post summarising http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=71486975&postcount=24
and another thread discussing the issues with this model and Saorview
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=71518849
    - seems fine for audio and video, but with subtitle, channel numbering, teletext and daylight saving time issues?

look forward to hearing about the LG nnLE4900 option...

    Cheers,

    Ian

    Ian,

.mmm yes I have heard about this issue - I do seem to remember seeing that there was a firmware upgrade but then that may be wishful thinking - I'll investigate with LG and revert as soon as I have the info,
