    Hi all,

This was mentioned to me over the weekend. Myself and my gf are not married and have a daughter. I know that tax credits can be transferred through married couples but what I'm wondering is can I claim single parents tax credits instead then seeing as that's how the state see's us?

My gf is unemployed at present so I don't know if that would affect it?

    Just a thought anyway :)

    Cheers!

and if you ever need social welfare you will be assessed as a married couple.
There are rumors that the system will be changed.
