    As defined in the Planning & Dev. Regs 2001:
    “light industrial building” means an industrial building in which the processes carried on or the plant or machinery installed are such as could be carried on or installed in any residential area without detriment to the amenity of that area by reason of noise, vibration, smell, fumes, smoke, soot, ash, dust or grit;

    Maybe what you are looking for is a Class 3 type development, kennels for Greyhounds and general agriculture?

    thanks for that ray.

    There is a site for sale with a house and 4 acres and its down as 'zoned for light industrial development with dwellings on site'. If this is what it is zoned for would it be impossible to put boarding kennels onsite?

    Best advice I could give is to contact your local council Planning Dept. and get them to tell you exactly what their interpretation is...:eek:
