I'm looking to see if there are any frustrated bass players who like myself have very little time due to family, etc. and looking for a recording challenge!!

I'm currently recording a lengthy piece of music on my home studio and it's all complete except bass. I've played and recorded all the drums, piano and synths and have been working with an excellent guitarist and vocalist and recorded all those parts also.

The piece is quite prog in influence, but is not your purist stuff and is commercial in places. It's pitched somewhere between modern rock/ prog and classic rock/ prog.

If you're like me and want to play but can't give much time, send me a PM and we can try this out. Can record virtually anywhere as I have home and portable gear. Alternatively I can send the tracks out and tracks can be recorded remotely and sent by email.

Go on, give it a blast!

    +1.

OP, why dont you post a sample of your tracks here, so that people can have a listen before making up their minds. Also, it would be a good idea to let people know where you are based.

Hey folks, apologies for not replying earlier. I didn't get any emails notifying me the thread had been responded to, so I didnt see the three replies (until now) and assumed only pm's were coming in. There's been a surprising amount of interest and offers for help via pm so I'm flattered as I thought prog rock type music was taboo nowadays!

Thanks so much for your interest, I'm very grateful. I'll try my best to get some samples up over the next wee while. The tracks are still rough mixed though so will not sound polished yet.... A few bass players have also offered help via pm so hopefully this project can be completed over the next period one way or another.

I'm based in Dublin by the way.
