    Thinking of replacing my .22 with a .17 hmr! Not having much luck selling privately so anyone recommend a dealer with a good range of second hand rifles, that would be willing to take a trade in! Find a lot of them only want to deal if its a straight sale! Willing to travel, Thanks!

    What model are you looking for or have you a specific make in mind?
    What money are you thinking of spending?

    To be honest if i saw a clean .17hmr second hand id go for it! Budget is kinda variable, id go 200 or 300 along with my own maybe! Could go more if I saw something though!

    Sean of Stakelums in Thurles always has a good few second hand rifles in stock. In all caibers. I know he has a new CZ455 in .17hmr.

    Jim McBride usually has a nice selection, but have not been up to him in a while.

    I'm hearing good things (even today on the range) about McCarthy's in Prosperous, but have no experience with them.


    Where abouts are you. County will do. This will narrow it down and maybe one of the lads or myself may know a dealer close to you that would have something you might like.

    Ya ive seen stakelums mentioned a lot on here and they look good, just wondered would they be a bit weary of dealing with new people that they dont know!Im From Limerick/Clare. Thanks for the info, im saving away for it but was going to take a spin up to a fw dealers one of the days!

    Don't know where you are but John Joyce in Westport has a gorgeous second hand Marlin 917 VS hmr with stainless Sak mod and scope. It's in as new condition as the owner(31,mate of mine)recently passed away and never really got to shoot it. He would trade no problem. Pm me if you're interested. LR
