What part of Dublin are you in?

Any decent workshop/mechanic/fitter should have a tap and die set to re-thread the crank arm.

screw the pedal in from the other side of the crank. Sometimes that will repair damaged treads.

€5-€10 max, that's if it's savable, but try screwing the pedal in from the opposite side like suggested above it does work sometimes, is it drive side or non drive side?

    Because it's reverse threaded.

That side will have a left-hand thread and is therefore more difficult to find the correct tap to make a repair, and Sod's Law dictates that it's ALWAYS the most difficult/expensive thing that will go wrong.

Erm... you ARE trying to thread it in left-handed, aren't you?
My apologies for raising the possibility, but it's an easy one to get wrong. :)

Hold the tinfoil hats lads, its not a big deal, or expensive for that matter.

Everybike shop has these taps, They come in a set and includes a Reverse thread 1/2" and 9/16" TPI tap.

Should cost you e5 max, and TBH its something done on the spot, like a puncture TBH.

It may get expensive where your pedals may be damaged

Now If youve ****ed the threads with a R/H thread into a L/H crank, your R/H crank is prob ****ed too.

Never understand how people manage this, you have to bate the pedal on to get it to cross thread, everything should just screw in by hand, if it doesnt theres something wrong, dont attack it with a spanner or force it.
