Hey all, long time lurker but first time poster on boards.

Im just wondering could people help me on what would be the best for a recent graduate. I have read where people are saying everyone should go to Oz, middle east etc but is all this type of work for those who have eng experience. As a graduate with only college work experience I dont really think this would really help in me finding succesful work.

I would be willing to travel anywhere in the world if it meant me finding some type of relevant work hopefully working on site/outdoors. Would any experienced boardsies here know of areas which I could target for work. From reading of posts in the australian forum people are saying that there is alot of works in western areas in mines etc, would it be possible for civil grad eng to find work here?? I kind of realise it may be difficult due to visa restrictions however trying to get work there may be not a bad thing.

Any other ideas of where to travel would be greatly appreciated from a desperate grad looking for any work to get out of this sinking ship that is Ireland.

    Thanks

Depends on how far you want to go and how long you want to stay away.

London could be ok short/medium term and close to home.

Oz/Canada would be ok medium/long term.

Middle east is acting up politically so personally I wouldn't be keen on it
