Buying Case JX90U w/ Mailleaux Loader

    Hi all!
I am planning on getting a used tractor and considering this one - 04 case JX90U with a Mailleaux MX80 loader. I haven't heard much about these loaders, is it as a good as a Quicke or Trima? The machine has 1600hrs on it and is spotless. Has quick attach arms, a pick up hitch, power shuttle and dual power shift, a/c and a lovely air seat. Seller said it was imported from England, the guy seems pretty nice and showed me all the tractors he had and told me the prices and to give a few days to think it over. Anyway the case was the best suited to me.
He is asking 29500 for it with 6 months warranty.
My concerns are the loader ( unfamiliar with it ) the electrics ( any issues with this series? ) and the price, a case dealer beside us sold one a few weeks ago for 27500 with a case loader and the same hours.
I'll be using her to draw and stack bales, agitating, will stick a 4ft grab on her over winter and she'll be drawing slurry, I have flat land so this should have no bother with a 1600 gallon tank right?

just for 'peace of mind' would you not get a mechanic to check it out first.

    Have you seen this one?

Several thousand yoyos cheaper than equivalent New Holland. Pretty much same tractor. Nicer colour:p
The NH guys never want to accept the truth though.
    It's same tractor.

Different breed altogether to a JXU, Horrible cab, no power shuttle, air seat or air con. And the tracking is a tad off :P

They are equivalent to the TDD series NH.

MX loaders are one of the best loaders IMO. One of the easiest and quickest to remove also. It's on my wishlist:rolleyes:

    Thanks for the replies.
I rang a guy about a NH TL90A but he wanted 28500 for it. It's a 05 with 2200hrs, power shuttle but no loader, the case JXU definately seemed a better choice as its 29500 with a loader and less hours.
There is a guy near me selling a JX95 but after seeing it I would stay clear of it. They are cheaply made, his is a 05 with 900hrs but has rust on the doors, rust on the grill, rust everywhere and the paint is fading! not to mention it's leaking diesel and oil! He wanted 24k with a rossmore loader though no power shuttle. He is also on donedeal, looks it pretty good in the pics but seeing it in person its not pretty.
Definately reasured about the loader now looked it up also and found on old thread here on boards.
I haven't bought the tractor yet ;) but will be getting a mechanic to have a look, though it has 6 months warranty too.
The main thing I'm thinking about now is the price, Is 29500 too much?
he wanted 31500 but came down 2k. Buckleys agri just sold basically the same machine for 27500, same hours w/ stoll/case loader.
When it comes to these numbers 2k doesnt sound like much but having an extra 2k for a new tank is a lot ;)

I'd be guessing that'd be a fair bit more than my price range 30k being my max. I don't want to go higher because you can get a new JD 5090M with a rossmore loader for 43k. I do like the case but I haven't heard much about the JXU and my baling contractor has a CS94 that has constant electric problems, he's thrown over 5 grand it it in the last 2 years.

It's said, Alexander Mills, doing serious good deals in new Case tractors. Much cheaper than southern dealers.
Worth checking out for the record.

Sorry for the late reply, went up the country for a few days. I would rather buy the JD cus the dealer isnt too far from me. If I bought off Alexander I could never get him to come service or repair it. I'd have a better standing with my local dealer if anything went wrong down the line they would fix it for a decent price since I bought it off em.
Anyway I offered 28k on the Case tractor now and he refused it! He said he would get back to me about it but said it was too low, strangely he never negotiated just said I'll ring you back and that was on Wednesday. I'm pretty certain I'll buy it ( even if it costs an extra 1k ) as it was the best priced machine for the condition and features I've seen by far.
I'll probably ring him up if I don't end up with this tractor though, as the JD's won't be in until August.

Seto did you get he jxu? If so how's it going for you?

Was on the road with uncle today to pick up calf he bought. There was a jxu 100 in the yard and we had quick gander, both of us are looking of changing and the jxu models do look like what we like to have. Good view for a loader, nice size for in around the sheds and they look just like he NH Tl seris.

Been a while since I posted this thread!
Never bought the Case in the end. The man selling rang back 2 months after I offered him a price told him I bought a new John Deere and he nearly hung up! said he wouldnt have dropped in the price after though.
Bought a JD 5090m. The case was almost 30k and the JD was 43k with 0% finance over 4 years.
The Case was definatley lower and tidier than the JD. I would have bought it but the garage man wasn't too friendly and drove me to look at other options and sure it was his loss.
Sorry I couldnt offer ya much advise on the Case.

No bother. The uncle is defo interested in getting one, I'll be looking at one too but only if finances are ok. How's the I'd going? Seen a few of the 5000 series around, look good but I always though the bonnet was a bit high for loader work.
