    Hi All

I have a bit of a problem. My iPhone was wiped as my daughter tried to break my code. Not just that, my laptop went bang a while back so I don't have my i-tunes account to back up all my apps and contacts as I had only got around to sorting out my music. I have a copy of the hard-drive from my old laptop, I presume that the apps and more importantly my contacts should be on that somewhere but I can't find them.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Christy M

    Thanks for that Hi.im.fred

Thanks again Hi.im.fred, i have managed to get my back-up from last month and restore it to my iphone including all my contacts which is brilliant. :D:):D

Just one other question, is there a setting I can change that means the phone won't be wiped if the wrong code is inserted?

    Thanks again

    Settings>General>Passcode Lock
When you enter your passcode, there is an option down the bottom of the screen called 'Erase Data'. Set this to off

Yes. Tap Settings-->General-->Passcode Lock-->Turn off 'Erase Data'.

    if you still have it

or if its a windows vista/ 7 it will be located in
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

copy the folder to the same directory on your new computer, plug in your phone and, when it is identified in itunes right click and click restore from back up. it will pop up with a box where you can select the data from.

PM me if you need more help
