Connecting laptop to internet. Network name?

    Hi,
    Just bought a new laptop.
    Trying to connect it to the internet.
    I think ive at least made some progress over the last 2 hrs! :o
    Anyway, i need to find out my network name, security type, encryption type and security key.
    Anyone have any ideas where to find this info?

    You need to connect the laptop to your broadband router with a cable,then open the homepage of the router,(start-control panel-network and internet-view network status and tasks-left click on network-right click on router-view device webpage.)for windows 7

    Who supplies your broadband? Do you have a wireless router in your house?
