I have a small web hosting business that I am selling. It has been running since December and has 8 hosting accounts currently & 8 domain names registered through it.

I need to sell it as I have my leaving cert in a few weeks and then I am going away straight after that.

Does anyone know where a good place to sell it would be? Have it on gumtree, adverts & donedeal.

Unfortunate this isn't a salable business, what you might be able to do is pass your clients back to the hosting company you rent the servers from for a commission. But the value is far to small to sell the business.

    You'll never sell it

Bit harsh you should have first congratulated this leaving cert student for starting the business and deciding to put his exams first. Go job with the business keep it in the background until after your exams.

OP - can I clarify something are you looking for someone to purchase a server ? which already hosts 8 accounts ?

annually how much are these "clients" paying for the hosting ? are you making money from it ? how much work is involved in maintaining the server ?

Of course he should be encouraged for starting a business but there's no point mollycoddling him around the subject, he's not going to be able to sell it for any reasonable figure

Of course it's sellable, if someone gives him 500 Euro for it, it's a sellable business. What is at issue is the value he can get for it...

If I were one of his customers whose website now had an uncertain future, I wouldn't be congratulating him. I'd be reading his terms and conditions (if there are any) and wondering how many he was breaking and who was going to pay me for any downtime that results.

constructive criticism people grow up he is a kid with initiative nobody said to mollycoddle him but encouragement is a good thing.
