Redneck tries to kill motorcyclist

Words almost fail me on this one. I hope he gets jail.

The sad fact of the matter, is that I've seen similar stuff on Irish roads when you go to overtake slow drivers. Usually before people get side by side though.

The scumbag had a wheel brace or similar too when he got out of the truck, fair play to the two motorcyclists for keeping their cool.

    Good god. Horrendous!

Yes, the redneck should be done for dangerous driving / attempted gbh.

But those motorcyclists were using a public road as a racetrack too.
There were a load of houses along that road.

Also the motorbike overtook on a double solid line.

    Ban them all.

I agree, all three are dangerous drivers.

I get the feeling those roads are used by speeding bikers all the time, the guy in the truck has witnessed it many times, and he just snapped.

    Yeah I'd have to agree.
Redneck is a lunatic but the bikers have a part to play as well.

Even the bikers coming the opposite direction were booting it along as well.

Fair play to the trucker, and I am a biker.

I have done the same to scumbags like those bikers who tried pulling that along the roads where I lived in California.

They lose a lot of their bravado when you get out and try to discuss their dangerous driving with them face to face.

According to the start of the video, the road is very popular with dirtbag rice rocket racers pissing up and down it all day.

Good job driver, I say. Shame he wasn't 2 feet more over to the left :o

And if the idiot who filmed it is dumb enough to show that that fo0tage to the cops like he states in his emergency phone call, then I hope he gets whats coming.

A good Kentucky judge won't be too sympathetic when he sees what they were doing.

Why ? So he would have killed the biker ?

If you can't keep your cool you have no business being on the road. Whatever the biker was doing its not the truck drivers business to teach him a less on by making him dead.

The truck driver put the foot down, drove like a lunatic, spent most time on the wrong side of the road, on bends ffs, braked in order to get the biker behind him to crash, threatened them with a metal bar and, in general, did everything he could to escalate the situation and make it more dangerous.
AND he had what looked like a large quad bike (wannabe biker himself) on the back ,if that had come lose he could have killed someone.
What would he have told parents whose child he could have run over?
"I was bravely chasing these bikers down to try and kill them?"
The bikers where right to call the cops, dangerous scumbags like that truck driver belong in a psych-ward.
If I was the biker I knew I could get banned, but that inbred redneck was going to jail.
And that would be so totally worth it.
I have seen many people who lose the rag when being overtaken, people who have psychological and anger issues like that should be assessed before sitting their test and weeded out for being unfit to control a vehicle.

WTF?? The bikers were speeding, but it's not up to truck driver to police that. HE COULD HAVE KILLED THE BIKER. And you are an IDIOT for doing such thing too. I might get banned because of this post, but someone has to say it.

Same thing when people accelerate when you go to overtake them. It's VERY DANGEROUS (much more than just speeding on a bike).

If you feel that someone is driving dangerously fast you can always report that to the appropriate authorities.

Not to mention that one day he is going to do that to the wrong biker, yeah he can look like a big man stepping out of his pickup truck and waving a little, bitty piece of metal, but some day he's going to get knifed/stabbed.

Granted the trucker was wrong, thats clear.
Those bikers shouldn't be speeding up and down that road, they'll kill themselves before the redneck gets them!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,382 ✭✭✭jimmyw

That truck driver was a complete idiot doing that. Its attempted manslaughter.Of course the bikers were speeding too and thats wrong, but the driver was worse.Weaving all over the road.I am not a biker though.Of course Americans in general cant drive anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,061 ✭✭✭✭John_Rambo

Anyone know the outcome of this? Hopefully he was locked up.

I saw something similar happen in Tip, two bikers (organ donors :-)) overtook me, I pulled left slightly to let them by, they were speeding, but it's not my business to police the roads. A TN reg 4x4 ahead of me pulled out to the middle of the road to block them! Couldn't believe it.

I often get the plume of diesel when idiots put the boot down when been overtaken, don't know what it's about.

Shame some posters had to resort ro personal insults.

Fact is, these bikers were putting peoples lives in danger.

Shame they weren't knocked off their bikes.

The driver had enough of these douchebags pissing up and down his road and put an end to it.

I wonder if they'll speed up and down his road again?

Shame there's not more people like him, instead of whinging cry babies who wouldn't try to sort it out themselves, but would post a thread on the net saying "What can I do about bikers speeding up and down my roads nearly killing my kids..waahhh waaaahh?"

Since when is attempting to kill someone an acceptable means of dealing with a speeding problem?!?!

The bikers are idiots, there's no doubt about that, but people saying they wished the trucker had hit his mark are just taking things a step too far!

This has to be a troll post.

Otherwise you are seriously saying that the punishment for speeding is death by redneck.

What the driver did was even worse than what the bikers were doing. The best way of dealing with this was to report it to the police, not playing vigilante, and possibly causing deaths. The driver was driving dangerously too.

I'm sure the bikers were speeding but just like it's not up to a driver on the M50 to block traffic progress by hogging the passing lane it's not up to this dude to police the roads. Bikers speeding or not, what he did was down right dangerous.

If I'm not mistaken thats a ford F150 pickup truck with a viper engine in it. Now I'm no fancy big city driver, but I reckon if I had the choice I would prefer to crash into a motorbike weighing in a 300 kilograms rather then a five ton pickup truck. And with the blind bends he went around on the wrong side of the road and speed he was doing guess who was more likely to crash.

As for the original overtaking maneuver there was clear visibility ahead for a sports bike to safely overtake.

Just a bit of confusion above, It's the Dodge Ram that has the viper engine!
The F150 still has a 4.6l V8....And some people over here consider 2L petrols "big engined"

my god that was a fecking crazy thing to do:eek:

i think the guy in the pickup was playing vigilante, he broke a few laws himself so he really cant say anything to the bikers, chasing someone is not a good way to stop speeding!

and what kind of pickup can keep up with a motorbike:confused:

Did any of you read the comments???

I says that the truck driver is likely to be prosecuted for dangerous driving and attempted murder of the biker. Police say that the biker overtaking on a double line was of no concern in the grander scheme of event in the video.

The bikers looked to be going no faster than when the guy in the truck put the foot down and he totally forgot about any rules of the road!

Totally uncalled for by the truck driver, if motor cyclist are a hindrance on the road maybe something else should be done about it?

Are you people for real? The bikers weren't even going that hard, doubt they passed the ton.

The truck driver should be prosecuted for attempted murder, because that's exactly what running a biker off the road is!

As for that Pkeirnan gob****e, you're exactly the type of scumbag I'd have no qualms about dragging out of your cage and kicking seven shades out of you for pulling that sort of crap.

I think the average motorist would be suprised how often this sort of thing happens, guess some people just can't handle not being the fastest vehicle on the roads...
