I know a few boardies have Cervelos so hopefully you can advise on frame sizing! I have the chance to pick up a Cervelo S3 for a good price but its a 51cm frame!

Now i ride a 54cm with a 100mm stem at the min but the cervelo website lists the top tube lenght of the 51cm S3 as 53cm! would i be ok with the frame and a longer stem? Also im about 176cm tall!

    What do ye think?? :D

Its borderline, but on the wrong side of the border I reckon. I am 170cm tall and ride a 51cm Cervelo R3 SL (also a 51cm S1 and a 51CM P3C). I use a 110mm stem with it. Even at that I get a fairly large toe overlap with the front wheel...

It all depends on personal preference, but for me, you are more likely to fit better on a 54. You'd really have to try it out for such a big purchase or turn up at a sportive or race and have a look at someone elses.

If anyone has a 51cm S3 i could try for size i would really appreciate it! :)
