Where to get an iPad 2 pretty quickly?

    Good evening ladies & gents,

Quick question which you might be able to help me with.... I'm being admitted to hospital for an operation next Thursday for about 3 weeks and to keep me entertained for the stay (and the months of recovery time post op) would like to purchase either the 32G or 64G iPad 2 with Wifi and 3G ..... does anyone know of anywhere in Dublin where I could pick one up relatively easily?

It may be that I've completely overestimated demand and there'll be lots of them out there and all I have to do is drop in to a PC World / Currys and get one .... but I figure the assembled collective of the Interwebs would know better!

    Thanks for any replies

    The Rook

None to be had anywhere, apparently.

Maybe Adverts or Donedeal at this stage might be your best bet, although having a quick look they're scarce there too. Is a camera necessary for you at the moment? If not there's plenty of iPad 1's knocking about, plus they will lose very little in re-sale value if you decide to get the iPad 2.

Truth me told, while I love my iPad, I was quite impressed by the Motorola Xoom so that may suit if you can't find an iPad.

was in the same boat and made the mistake of selling my ipad without checking ipad2 stock and it's impossible to be got..you can forget about the 32gb/64gb variations for at least 6-8 weeks I've been told by everyone :(
Since I'm heading abroad next week with work I settled for the motorola xoom and it's pretty good.
Hardware wise it's pretty on a par with the ipad 2 although honeycomb is still a bit laggy or buggy...have gotten some apps that crashed on it but for the moment it will keep me entertained for movies and books over the few weeks.
It's about the same weight as the ipad v1 but one thing I like about it is the bezel is slimmer than the ipad..
As for the app store...we won't even go there as there's very few honeycomb apps out...but still the news/books/movie playback is all good so far so I can't complain about it..

Try compub they rang me during the week on an order I'd placed a few weeks ago. In between I got one from Apple's website. But they might have one

All I really want it for is Comics, Internet browsing and video playback. I don't have a massive amount of apps on my iPad. I am strongly considering getting a Tab 10.1 in July when they are out with Android 3.1.
