Wind Turbine/Solar products as a business?

I'm just wondering what you think. I have been looking into the possibilities of making wind turbines as a small business. I am talking about building permanent magnet turbines of the 1+kw range and using as much in the way of recycled parts as possible. i.e. wheel hubs, scrap iron, scrap building materials etc and sourcing/building my own rare-earth rotors and winding my own stator coils.

I am also looking into the possibilities of making solar panels for the leisure industry, the type that will charge 12v/24v batteries.I know prices are plummeting on these type of items.

I realise there is a lot of hype and mis-information wrt the selling of these devices. I'm not interested in pursuing this line of cod-ology, I wish to be honest and decent with people and create a business that has a good name and is affiliated to the positive side of the business and that community.

So, what do you think? Is there a business to be had / sustained? I would welcome any input.

    Hi
If you got the money to start up then why not, but I hope you have a lot of money as the start up costs are high.
Try the enterprize boards for funding.
