Stand on street and hand out leaflets - legal?

    In order to promote a business I was thinking of standing on Grafton Street and handing out leaflets. Is this legal?

    Similarly, I was thinking of the Temple Bar area.

    I think you need a licence to hand out your leaflets plus you can be fined for littering if any leaflets are found on the street.

    I dont think the problem is actually handing out the leaflets but if people take a leaflet and then just throw it on the ground you are liable for quite hefty fines for littering.

    As a previous poster said, defo contact Dublin City Council
