Are Walker Televisions worth it?

I don't know a whole lot about TVs these days but I am in the market for one and as I only use terrestrial tv, these seem to be the best option for the price and are the only ones that seem to have all of the Saorview functions.

I've read a few bad reports on here though that they're a bit generic and not up to par with the more established brands. I'm after something 32" to 37" for around the €350 mark (maximum).

Would I be silly to get one that size that isn't full HD (720 as opposed to 1080)? Is Walker a poor brand?
Or is it just worth biding my time for now and wait until Saorview is more prevailent and prices drop a little?

    Any suggestions appreciated

Walker TVs are OK for the money, the only downside I see with them is the MHEG-5 digital text is slow to load but everything else appears ok.

Check out this site for a list of Saorview approved products - http://www.saorview.ie/products-retailers/saorview-approved-product-listings/

As The Cush says, they're ok for the money. We're still using a 19" one that's getting on for 5 years old at this stage, and have never had an issue. Unless the price of receivers come down rapidly, we'll probably replace it with it's (walker) saorview equivalent.

However, that's as a second TV - I'd still be tempted to try and push on to a "brand" for a main TV tbh.
