Well lads and ladies of After hours what makes your life bearable and cancels out all the crap ?. For me its simple things like talking to strangers on a night out and instantly becoming friends, getting a smile from a pretty girl, being in a foreign country and someone saying they love your accent. Days off work and school and watching a good movie, getting a "how ya " from stangers :)

Alcohol tends to numb the pain sufficiently.

That and meeting up/chatting with family and friends, making plans, day dreaming, reading, watching comedy shows, horizontal playtime with my honey, piping hot showers, stretching, eating nice food and winning money at the races.

    And bounty ice-cream.

To answer the OP...laughter, the kind that you feel in every muscle in your body, that goes on and on and leaves you breathless...seeing those you care about happy and smiling...being loved and giving love.

Everything the OP said. On top of that, I'd like to add spending quality time with friends, knowing when you've done a hard day's work, watching the rugby and the satisfaction of a good ****e!

depending on what you like the park for, there are much better places....

    Good music
    Driving with good music on
Driving to meet friends with good music on
Driving, girl in passenger seat to meet friends with good music on

Beer works both with and without these situations.

Xanax. Not an anti-depressant, but you tend not to care about the depression when you down a couple of them.
    With beer.

I regularly meet one of my local TDs (North Kildare) there. With beer.
    Can you guess which one?

I changed jobs very recently, and though my new job pays a lot better, I hate it with a passion tbh!

What makes it bearable though, is my beautiful, happy, smiling eight month old daughter. After a hard days graft, I may be feeling like sh%t, and swearing that I'll quit the next day, the moment I get back in from work, spot her smiling up at me, watch intently as she claps her hands on demand, 'coughs' when I ask her how her bad cough is, and dance (aka shake her wee head) , when I begin to sing one of her fave songs.

That makes it all worth while, and that makes everything bearable in my life anyway!:D
