    Hi folks,

I'm looking for advice / recommendations for a flight school in Florida or anywhere in the states really to do my PPL. I'm planning to head over in Sept and while I've spoken to one or two people about it, I'd like to hear what boards has to say.

    Thanks in advance.

ok so I'm looking now at OBA and EFT.

Whats the connection between EFT and flyaviator, they both fly from [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]St Lucie, but is that their only link or are they basicall the same company, as I'm hearing some bad stuff about flyaviator.

One more thing, how much time for theory work would I need to put in before going over, I've no problem putting the head down over there but I can only get over for 4 weeks due to work constraints.

    Thanks again.

Because FLYOBA operates under the JAA/CAA people from the UK can do the exams prior to going over to do the actual flying,If you do the exams here they would not be regonised by either FLYOBA/CAA so your better off doing them in Florida.
It,s possible to get the exams and flying done within the month providing the WX holds off and you get stuck into the exams then enjoy the flying.
I cannot comment on EFT as I was never there and never heard of the other company also get the books before heading out and study them.
