what do you think of wearing beanie hats indoors, in sun, etc?

Here's a question from a fashion-challenged man- is it normal to wear a beanie hat indoors, in summertime, in pubs with mates, etc etc? I've shaved my hair and I've discovered the bald look really doesn't suit my face (only ever one way to find out!) I'd like to wear a hat for the next few weeks and not be self-conscious about being out with friends so I thought this beanie hat idea was the solution. What do people think?

I understand I shouldn't care, and I barely do but I'm still curious...

Usually I'd be against wearing hats inside, but in your case, I'd say wear it. You'll obviously feel less self conscious wearing one til your hair grows back. It's not a huge issue at all.

I tend to use one when my hair looks a bit gross and I can't be arsed washing it (sorry!). I think it's fine, although for the summer you could try more lightweight cotton ones, rather than wooly ones. Or try a porkpie hat or a slimline fedora, both of which are around loads this year.
