how much to fix exhaust hole ?

    this is my first post in motors
    im not too car savy and was just wondering roughly how much am i looking at to get a hole in an exhaust fixed just want to know if im getting robbed

    generally speaking if it is a silencer that has gone you are better of replacing it as a weld /patch won last ,if it is just the pipe should not cost a lot

    Price will vary vastly depending on where in the exhaust system, what type of hole it is(rust or damage) and what type of car it is.

    Any further details?

    Also consider something like gun gum for a DIY fix.
    If it has a hole it's most like on the way out, so spend as little money as possible on it.
