Canadian Visa questions

Hey, I'm new to this board, so am not sure if this is the right place to ask but if anyone can help, I'd be really grateful. I'm in the middle of Canadian visa application, (doing it through USIT) and last week I sent off my Participation of payment fee. Since then, I received an email saying

We are pleased to inform you that your application has been accepted by the Youth Mobility Unit.
Your file was forwarded to the Visa Section at the High Commission of Canada in the UK today for the second evaluation phase. If your application is accepted at this stage, a Letter of Introduction will be sent to the email address that you provided on your IEC application form. (No paper copy will be sent.)

If your application is rejected by this Section, you will receive a letter by post explaining the reason(s) for the refusal and the Youth Mobility Unit will automatically begin the reimbursement process.
In the event that you have not received an email or letter informing you of the Embassy or High Commission of Canada’s decision after the total processing time indicated in the Acknowledgement of Receipt email has passed, you may inform the Embassy of this situation by sending them an email.

My question is, should I be concerned that I have not received an email a week on? Or is it normal to not hear back from them for a while?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sarah

TBH I would be amazed if the turnaround time on a visa that confers a right to work was anything less than 3-4 weeks.
Years ago a friend of mine was waiting ages for his J1 type canadian visa.
