    Hey gang.

The GFs father has one of these yokes, not sure which, its 98 non turbo diesel. Joint it clickity click now and I rang my local autofactors who said you can only get the full shaft, not the join on its own.

Micksgarage however shows the joint on its own. Anyone here know the definitive answer? If you can get the joint on its own does the old one just pop off with a tap of the hammer as per usual?

    Ta

    Feck.

Thanks for your help Row. I'll relay the news. I was quoted 160 for the shaft which I thought was reasonable enough

    No Probelm,
I suppose a S/H driveshaft would cost around €50 so €160 for a new one ain't to bad...:)

So the FIL got one in his local factors, they ordered it in. Old one came off no bother, it was totally shagged.

The new one was wrong as shyte. They actually supplied a VW one!

Went to Derry to an autofactors (Alec Orr) and he has one on the shelf for 45 sterling. Result! :D

Is that the place across the road from you're work? If it is, I had similar problems. Ordered in a set of discs and pads for my van. Got the right discs but wrong feckin pads!!!!!!!!!!

Mistakes can happen and will happen.

The thing that got me was that they told me that the joint could not be got but both places in ulster had it listed.
