Ok i got an invite to a wedding abroad in Portagul in Sept but havent a clue what to get for it. Its probaly still going to be in the 25+ degrees so a suit is out of the question, I dont want it to be over the top either as im only 20 and its a mates sister. Any ideas

Your most important step, bar none, is to find out what the dress code is. Weddings, even foreign ones, are quite particular occasions - can't make any assumptions. After that come back and we'll get you sorted :)

I agree with Dingbat, definitely find out about the dress code first.

If a suit is required then go with a linen suit (cheap option) or failing that, a fine cotton suit (certainly not the cheap option)
You'd be surprised how airy they are.

Also make sure you're wearing a pure cotton or linen shirt too, to further help keep you cool.

I agree with the above - check the dress code.
I live in Spain and any summer weddings I've been to have been semi-formal - guys in suits. Most of my male friends go for a light colour cotton suit, beige or charcoal. And definitely make sure your shirt is cotton, makes a huge difference (well worth the extra cost)

You will be fine, the majority of places will be airconditioned, and by Sept it will be cooler - back to the mid 20's! :)
