Would somebody like to tell me why the **** do old people drive so slow?

You know the ones, driving their brand new 11 micra, that they got from scrapping their old ****box fiesta/corolla with the gov. scrappage scheme.

For some reason these idiots insist on driving 50kph in a 100kph zone. Even when there's a hard shoulder/slow lane, do they pull in? Do they ****!

    Edit especially for Deman:P

    Why?

They need to be isolated and studied so it can be determined what nutrients they have that might be extracted for our personal use

They are old as feck and half blind probably.

Maybe your impatience made them nervous so they felt like they need to go slow? Were you tailgating or were you a few cars behind in the traffic?

Tailgating yes, makes no difference because you know the old farts don't check their mirrors anyway.

Happens everyday now and I'm getting sick of it tbh

I know too eighty year olds that shouldn't be driving but are. Lethal the pair of them.

    Why?

I actually wish the Roads were full of old people who drove like this

Then there would be less of the annoying old f*ckers on the bus.

Because they're in no hurry and also don't want to crash.

And what's the deal with peanuts on airplanes!?

A Micra (it's always a Micra) with any of the following items on the rear parcel tray:

    -A straw hat
    -A tartan blanket
    -A box of tissues
    -A small white terrier dog.

Sure signs that you won't be reaching your destination any time soon

Probably because the road is the same width as the car.

Tailgating is a dickhead way of driving, no matter who or what is in front of you.

Most people of all ages are bastards but yes old people don't let you out and drive too slow. Also when they are approaching motorways on the slip road they slow down going onto the motorway

It's a speed limit, not a speed target

If you're not capable of driving at the limit within the conditions you should not be on the road, end of. The limit is there for safety and traffic congestion management for efficient movement of traffic.

That's one of the most nonsense things I've ever read. It's a limit, not a target, you have to drive at a reasonable speed, not the maximum available to you at all times.

Yes its annoying, but just out of curiosity James, what age do you intend to say "****itt I'm gonna stop driving in case I annoy someone"
    55?
    60?
    62?
    69?
    89?
No, you will say "I don't give a rats arse" and keep on driving till your liver falls out your arse while parking in tesco..
In your brand new Micra. :D

-I hope it doesn't BTW- just saying.

    Oh FFS

Because they are old! They've been the boy racer, took the drugs, rode the hookers, stole the candy, and probably worked all their fúcking lives, yes, real work. If they wanna drive at 50 mph and most likely laugh at the young pups in such a hurry to be somewhere, anywhere.... (i mean, when are yee ever NOT in a hurry?).

I sure as shít wont be rushing for any fúcker when im 70, i'll barely do it now!

I did indeed and have 20+ years of safe, high-mileage driving all over Europe done, mostly cars, some on my old Suki 750. You have to drive at a reasonable, safe speed all things considered, not balls-out to the limit all the time.

Maybe somebody is too immature to drive safely :pac:

Yeah so you should know you dont drive 30km/h when the limit is 60. Its inconsiderate, it can cause accidents. There are reasons limits are set at different speeds. And when I drive, I do the limit. I don't break it, and I don't hold people up behind me. And if I was driving half the limit for whatever reason, I'd pull in every few miles and let the faster traffic overtake me. Common courtesy. People have places to be.

I always thought it was just me that was the unfortunate one to get stuck behind these old gits.Had one today drive straight at me as I turned onto a side street, there was no way I could reverse back onto a main road-she sat looking at me then tried to reverse out of the way which was both comical and infuriating at the same time.I swear some of these people got their licenses in lucky bags.
Notice to old people driving slowly in the middle of the road-USE YOUR MIRRORS,maybe then ye'll see the line of traffic stuck behind and pull in a bit to let them pass.
