I know theres newer models out now but anyone used or have one of these? Seems a good piece of kit for that money,i see they have them in 8.5 and 9.5, much diff in stiff and extra stiff? Reason why im askin is my spalding 10.5 driver seems very "flexy" and does tend to go a bit high at times

Never used one but from what I have read in reviews and heard they are meant to be a very good driver. Reckon it's definitely worth a look at that price.

Yeah definitely. You really need to match the shaft you use to your swing speed. X Stiff is pretty much out of the question for most normal people since you are heading into pro swing speed territory with that shaft. So it's more along the line of regular or stiff.

It's hard to really give advice since I have never seen you swing but if you healthy and feel like you swing it hard then stiff is probably the way to go. Could spark of a big shaft debate here now saying that but thats the shaft the general demographic of the male golfing population fall into.

A good thing to do would be get a lesson before you purchase your driver. That way you could get some help with the swing from a pro and also ask him advice on which shaft before you purchase. Would probably be the best thing to do. I actually bought my first driver without asking anyone anything and ended up having to change it a few months later so probably best to avoid that.

If you're taking a punt on a driver, you could do worse. And you'll generally be able to shift a second hand TP driver on Adverts if it doesn't suit you.

Tones you do not need a new driver, you hit the ball plenty long, what you need is a lesson dude, that will help take out that high shot you talk about.

Have a look out for the standard R9 driver, i picked up a new one for €129 in halpenny just before christmas. So there should be some great deals to be had.

I believe Superdeep club was in the McGuirkes shop in the Grange driving range in Feltrim N. Dublin, great place to try out clubs/shafts etc.. You can hit it there, plus any other club they have to find the "one". I am not a big believer in shaft stiffness anymore. They vary by brand etc... I only have a swing speed in the 90-100 range, and the best club I hit (flight & distance and accuracy) from there was a 2nd hand Titleist 909 D3 9.5 with an X stiff shaft. People will say, oh you can use an x-stiff, I say I hit it a mile and it stays stright, simples. I would have bought a senior shaft if my 50+ shots were better. Trying clubs out is the only real way of finding what will fit you, but don't try murder the new drivers, swing normally. And if you like the superdeep, buy it in Halpenny.

I must try out the custom fitting next time though, I'm sure there has to be some logic to it all.

a guy on adverts has one up already, not a great sign... but he might allow you to try it out on a range with him?

Forgot to mention, I hit it too in McGuirkes and I didn't like it. Felt dead, not a great sound for me (plus I didn't hit it well). It's amazing how your first few shots with a club will make you love it or hate it from then on....

    Hi tones.
Have hit the superdeep and more importantly outside where ball flight can be seen.
Make sure that if your trying out few drivers that its where you can see ball flght.
Regards the superdeep, its majorly aimed at high spin players who need to get spin down.If you do indeed have high ballooning ball flight then perhaps worth a look.
I would be low spin player and really struggled to get it even air born.
It will not be for everyone but no harm giving it a demo

I have being playing one of these for the last fours months and have just taken it out of the bag to go back to the 07 Burner.

This club is long, the longest driver I have ever hit but just not forgiving enough. My misses were bad and not worth the extra distance.

I am an 8 han'cap and driving would be one of my strong points.
